What a PayPoint is and what the types are
A PayPoint is a payment point the customer taps their phone on. Three ways of paying and two forms of PayPoint.
A PayPoint is one place where you accept a Mo.one payment · an NFC card or a payment terminal. The customer taps their phone and the payment starts. Every PayPoint has its type and its way of entering the amount.
Three ways of paying (payment type)
| Payment type | When it suits |
|---|---|
| Standard payment | You create the amount at the till each time. |
| Payment with a fixed amount | The amount is set in advance and the customer cannot change it (admission, gift voucher). |
| Payment with a selectable amount | The customer chooses from a list of amounts or enters their own. |
Two forms of PayPoint (device type)
- NFC · a PayPoint represented by a Mo.one NFC card or tag. The customer taps their phone on it.
- Terminal · a PayPoint linked to a physical Orbit M or Orbit L payment terminal.
Tipping
On a PayPoint you can switch on „Offer the customer a tip“. The tip is offered to the guest automatically during payment.
When a PayPoint is ready
ReadyAn NFC PayPoint has a card assigned, a terminal one has a paired device. You can accept payments.
Not readyThe NFC card, or the paired device on a terminal, is missing. Add them.
