Why the bank connection is renewed

PSD2 permissions

Consent with the bank has two parts · „access“ and „payments“. Each has its own validity.

A bank connection is not permanent. Under PSD2 rules you give the bank consent for a limited time · after a while the bank requires it to be confirmed again (strong authentication, SCA). Mo.one lets you know in good time.

There are two permissions · „access“ (reading the balance and account details) and „payments“ (initiating payments from the account). Each has its own validity. When one expires, those functions stop working until you renew them in your banking app.

Account access has expiredThe permission to read the balance and details has expired. Tap „Renew access“.

Payment authorisation has expiredA payment cannot be sent from the account. Tap „Renew payments“.

Access / payments expire soonThe permission is coming to an end · renew it so everything keeps working.

Renewal is quick · you simply confirm the consent in your bank again, just as when you first connected. No connecting from scratch.
