Roadmap · the public Mo.one plan

Where we are going.

Mo.one is building Czech independence from non-European card companies. From a regulated payment institution to an ecosystem built on our own payment infrastructure. Here, openly, is what already holds and what we are only preparing.

Where we are today

What already holds, not what we promise.

The milestones below are documented by public records: the register of the Czech National Bank, opinion RS2025-28 and the final Q&As of the European Banking Authority. You will find the whole story since 2018 on the Our story page.

11 / 2021

The Czech National Bank licence

Three years after applying, we obtained authorisation from the ČNB to provide AIS and PIS services under PSD2. Since then we have operated payment infrastructure as a regulated payment institution.

The first bank connected through a PSD2 API

The first bank connected through a PSD2 API: Česká spořitelna a.s. The first live transactions through Mo.one begin.

27 November 2025

The ČNB issues opinion RS2025-28

The Czech National Bank agreed with our technical and legal conclusions and issued a regulatory interpretative opinion that makes it easier for us to enforce banks' obligations in providing dedicated APIs. A precedent usable across the EU.

Fio banka is the first to comply

The first bank fixed its dedicated interface so that connecting an account and paying are genuinely free of obstacles for clients · Fio banka, a.s. for the Android mobile operating system.

3-4 / 2026

Legal steps against inactive banks

Against banks that have not even given an expected date for remedy or that refuse constructive communication, we have started the first legal steps: actions for protection against unfair competition, a submission to the Office for the Protection of Competition and a submission to the ČNB to withdraw exemptions under Article 33(6) and (7) of the RTS Regulation on SCA.

The EBA confirms our reasoning in three Q&As

The European Banking Authority published three final Q&As on questions we submitted as Mo.one (formerly ZNPay). The EBA's interpretation matches our reasoning: the authentication procedure is the user's whole journey, the benchmark for a bank is its own mobile app, and every superfluous step is an obstacle.
