A question for you

How long does a payment take?

Card payment

24 h+

before the money reaches your account. The beep at the till is a promise - settlement runs overnight, and longer at the weekend.

Direct payment

3 s

and the money is in your account as soon as the customer confirms. Available right away for stock and for wages.

It costs 0.49 % of the payment - for the first 1 000 merchants. After that always 0.78 % at most.

What you get

A shorter route. More for you.

Money right away

Your takings are in your account within three seconds of payment. Cash flow without waiting for settlement and without paying suppliers out of your own pocket.

No middlemen

The payment goes directly between banks. The shorter the route, the lower the cost - we work the fee out to fit your business.

The data stays between the banks

Data about your customers' payments stays between you and them. And the money stays in the Czech Republic, supervised under our ČNB licence.

What merchants want

Five requirements. Five answers.

The National Payments Forum wrote down what a new payment method has to meet to make sense for merchants. Mo.one is a member - and here are the answers.

1 At least the same checkout speed as cards ? 3 seconds to the account
2 An equally simple customer experience ? Tap, confirm, leave
3 Wide acceptance across banks ? All banks in the Czech Republic
4 Lower cost than card payments ? Tailored · work it out in the calculator below
5 A high level of security and resilience ? Payment institution · DORA · A2A

Five merchant requirements from the National Payments Forum. Click and we answer each one.

How much will direct payments save you?

The exact answer is in your own settlement statement - we will do the analysis for you. And if you do not have it to hand, the quick estimate below will do.

 Recommended

Upload your settlement statement - we will do the analysis for you.

A photo or PDF of the monthly statement from your current provider is enough - even shot on a phone, page by page. Within a few seconds you get:

  • A breakdown of all three parts of the fee - the processor's margin, interchange and card scheme fees - explained in plain language: what each one means and who you pay it to.
  • Your real rate. Most business owners pay more than they think: the sale often mentions only the processor's margin, and the other two parts - surcharges on corporate cards, for example - show up only on the statement.
  • A tailored offer - your saving on cards and with direct payment, for one year, three years and five years ahead.

We do not store the statement anywhere, do not pass it to anyone and do not use it for anything else. We read the numbers from it and the file is discarded immediately - it stays neither with us nor with any third party.

The analysis takes a few seconds. A statement with several pages? Select as many photos at once as you need.

Or a quick estimate from three numbers

An indicative calculator for a first idea. We use published rates and deliberately the most cautious variant, so the result undershoots rather than overshoots. The analysis from your statement above is more precise: there you do not have to estimate anything.

Not sure? We will use a model 1.30 % - that is what a typical Czech business pays. The analysis of your statement above reveals the real rate.
Fill in turnover and average transaction - the saving works itself out.

An indicative calculation based on published rates, in the most cautious variant. The real offer tends to be better, because we prepare the price to fit each business.

How it works

Three steps. Three seconds.

01

The guest taps their phone

On the Orbit terminal or the PayPoint on the counter. The same gesture as with a card, nothing to learn.

02

They confirm in their bank

With a fingerprint or face, right in their banking app. The security of the payment is handled by their bank.

03

The money is in your account

From account to account through CERTIS at the Czech National Bank. Available right away for buying stock and for wages, not in three days.

A confirmed payment in the Mo.one App

The first payment once. After that, just tap.

First payment
The customer connects their bank once (consent under PSD2). A moment extra - but only the first time.
Every payment after
Tap and confirm. No sign-up, no signing in again.

The guest orders and pays for themselves. Right at the table.

A PayPoint on the table opens the menu on the guest's phone - the order flies to the kitchen, the payment goes straight from the bank. Staff carry food, not a terminal and receipts.

Frequently asked questions

What business owners ask.

What if the customer pays by card?
Nothing changes. The Orbit M and L terminals accept cards and direct payments on one device - the customer chooses how to pay and you get both in one overview.
When will I see the money in my account?
A direct payment is in your business account within three seconds - it goes from bank to bank through CERTIS at the Czech National Bank. Card payments are credited by standard settlement.
What does it cost?
A direct payment costs 0.49 % of the payment - for the first 1 000 merchants, after that always 0.78 % at most. No activation fees. With turnover below 100 000 Kč a month the terminal costs 350 Kč a month. For card payments we put the price together to fit your turnover and average transaction - the calculator shows an indicative saving, and you get the exact offer at a consultation with no obligation.
Do I have to change my bank or my accounting?
No. Takings arrive by bank transfer into your existing business account at any Czech bank. For accounting you get overviews and exports, and with Hub complete till records as well.
What do I need to get started?
A company ID, a place of business and a moment of your time. You put the PayPoint on the counter yourself, the terminal arrives ready to use. Merchant registration is done online.
Can customers even pay straight from their account?
The network is growing - over 2 800 registered users, 9 connected banks and an opinion from the Czech National Bank requiring banks to simplify payments further. And until then, cards cover the rest on the same terminal.
Is direct payment safe?
It is a bank transfer: the customer confirms the payment in their own bank and strong authentication is handled by the bank. According to EBA data, an account-to-account payment is safer than any other payment method. And Mo.one is a payment institution supervised by the Czech National Bank, with resilience requirements under the DORA regulation.
Why it makes sense

Your saving is our profit.

Only two sides profit from the payment - you and us. No card scheme in between. When transactions do not go through Mo.one, we do not earn. And you do not save.
